Design HVAC/R products to provide customer-driven solutions that meet or exceed requirements:
- Lead schematic and PCB design for assigned new-product and sustaining projects
- Use Altium Designer or equivalent to create and maintain schematics, PCB layouts, libraries, and manufacturing outputs
- Design accurate, reliable, and manufacturable analog and digital circuitry
- Translate product requirements into documented electrical design requirements
- Design analog and digital circuitry with emphasis on accuracy, reliability, signal integrity, noise rejection, and operation in electrically noisy environments
- Select components based on performance, availability, lifecycle, cost, and compliance
- Coordinate hardware interfaces with Firmware, Test, Product Management, and Manufacturing Engineering
- Troubleshoot and debug hardware and related firmware interactions
- Test, verify, and validate assigned designs using appropriate laboratory equipment
- Review design work and provide technical guidance within assigned scope
Provide ongoing Production support and implement design change:
- Own assigned engineering changes from evaluation through release
- Investigate product and production issues using structured root-cause methods
- Recommend design or process changes that improve quality, cost, throughput, or reliability
- Support component substitutions, product launch, and sustaining-engineering activities
Maintain complete and accurate design documentation, including schematics, PCB files, bills of material, calculations, design-review records, manufacturing outputs, archives, and reports.
