Job Description Summary
The Senior Quality Leader will lead the Quality organization for Schenectady Manufacturing, reporting directly to the plant leader. This role will be responsible for leading a quality strategy and zero-defect culture across the site. This leader will drive continuous improvement and problem solving in quality, with emphasis on creating added value, reducing waste, minimizing Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) and positively impacting quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Severe Events and Non-Conformity Reporting (NCRs) associated with manufacturing operations.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Foster a zero-defect culture with the objective of providing new units, spare parts and repairs that are trusted and preferred by customer
- Protect customers through systemic problem-solving, solving problems quickly with rigor and transparency and leveraging lessons learned.
- Drive systematic root cause solutions.
- Responsible all site Quality related KPI’s and continuous improvement activity
- Ownership of quality assurance and control for assigned products/manufacturing area.
- Includes conformance of manufacturing goods, leading complex root cause and corrective action investigations to address and eliminate production non-conformances.
- Influence cross-functional teams within the supply chain to solve problems and address risk.
- Analyzing, identifying and implementing process improvements which will enhance capability and performance.
- Review and assure compliance with engineering drawings, work instructions and other technical documents.
- Initiate action as it is required to ensure project / team success (e.g. mitigate risks, problem solve, provide technical guidance, etc.).
- Ensuring control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained.
- Contributing to continuous improvement activities as part of a cross-functional team.
- Review technical documentation with a view to Quality and Compliance requirements and act as approval authority.
- Promoting the sustainment and continuous improvement of the Built in Quality framework
- This role is 100% onsite and requires deep connection and presence with the manufacturing floor.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited university or college with 2-3 years of experience in Manufacturing Quality
OR
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with 3-4 years of experience in Manufacturing Quality
OR
- High School Diploma / GED with 6+ years of experience in Manufacturing Quality

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $142,200.00 and $237,100.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
