Senior Strategy Manager – Strategic Programme Office, VELUX Products & Innovation - Østbirk
Join a strategically important programme at the heart of the VELUX Group. If you thrive on bringing clarity to complexity, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving progress across large-scale business initiatives, this could be your opportunity to make an impact while working with executive leadership.
Meet your future team
You will join the Strategic Programme Office within Products & Innovation, where we support the successful execution of strategically important initiatives across the VELUX Group. We work closely with Executive Group Management, senior leaders, and specialists from across the organisation to ensure strong governance, informed decision-making, and successful delivery of business-critical programmes.
As part of a collaborative and international environment, you will help create alignment across diverse stakeholder groups and contribute to transforming strategic ambitions into tangible results. The role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence key decisions that shape the future of the business.
What we offer
In this role, you will play a central part in driving governance, decision-making and execution within a complex, cross-functional programme. You will have the opportunity to work across strategic, commercial, financial and operational dimensions while partnering with leaders across the organisation.
More specifically your tasks will be to:
- Drive the programme governance cycle, including preparation for Steering Committee, Executive Group Management and Board of Directors meetings.
- Prepare agendas, pre-reads, decision materials, decision logs and follow-up actions.
- Develop clear, compelling and decision-oriented materials and recommendations for senior leadership.
- Consolidate and structure input from multiple functions and translate it into fact-based recommendations and decision proposals.
- Maintain the integrated programme plan, including key deliverables, critical decision points and cross-functional dependencies.
- Ensure systematic follow-up on executive decisions, conditions and actions.
- Support reporting of programme status, risks, issues and required decisions.
- Collaborate closely with Group Finance on the programme business case, financial assumptions and financial steering.
- Maintain transparency around risks, issues and actions, ensuring timely escalation when decisions are required.
- Coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders across Sales & Marketing, Product Management, R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement and Strategy & Execution.
- Support the continuous development and professionalisation of programme management and governance practices within Products & Innovation.
What you will bring
You are an analytical and structured professional who enjoys creating alignment, momentum and clarity in complex environments. You combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and are confident engaging with senior stakeholders while fostering strong cross-functional collaboration.
Moreover, we expect that you:
- Have 3-6 years of experience from a leading strategy consulting firm or a strategy, transformation or programme management role within a larger international organisation.
- Hold a relevant higher education degree.
- Have experience supporting governance structures or programme offices for complex, cross-functional initiatives involving senior executives.
- Bring strong capabilities in structured problem-solving, analytical thinking, stakeholder management and executive communication.
- Have experience within negotiation, change management and organisational alignment.
- Possess a solid understanding of business cases and the financial logic underpinning strategic decisions.
- Can translate complex and technical topics into concise and impactful communication for senior leadership.
- Are comfortable operating between strategic direction and operational execution.
- Communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.
- Thrive when driving progress through collaboration and influence rather than formal authority.
- Value teamwork and actively contribute to an inclusive, constructive and high-performing culture.
