What You Will Do

As an Electrical Engineering Intern at Collins Aerospace, you will participate in electric and electronic circuit design, test and troubleshooting of various types of sensors for the aviation industry. Tasks will be part of a team effort that will be focused on the design of new products as well as support of current manufacturing. In this role, you will support the development, fabrication and electrical test of sensors and sensor systems.

• Support existing products with investigations, design improvements, and documentation updates.
• Perform analyses of components, circuits and test systems to ensure proper performance.
• Write test requests, supporting design verification and testing. Analyze test data.
• Address component obsolescence issues.
• Prepare technical documentation.

What You Will Learn

• This is a great opportunity to learn fundamental principles of the aviation industry, gain experience in multidisciplinary technology development, regulations, and gain experience in presenting technical information.

 

Qualifications You Must Have

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 30 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

 

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with circuit design, modeling and testing.
• Experience with small signal analog circuit design.
• Experience with Labview.
• Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and/or PowerPoint).
• Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

• Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
