Job Description

As a Security Officer Driver for Patrol in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a driving patrol officer supporting dynamic retail and technology-focused locations. In this unarmed role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Guided by a caring culture, teamwork, integrity, and innovation, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming environment for guests, tenants, and staff.

Position Type: Full Time - Valid Driver's License for 1+ Year with Clean Driving Record Required

Pay Rate: $18.75 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior and exterior areas, including common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as conditions vary by location.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations within retail and office environments by following post orders and visitor procedures.
• Support a professional atmosphere by assisting with directions, observing customer and employee activity, and reporting maintenance, life, and/or security-related concerns that may impact daily operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
