Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Exploration Kids Therapy

This position is offered through Exploration Kids Therapy, a specialty therapy and assessment organization.
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Role:
- We are seeking a passionate, neurodiversity-affirming Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide evidence-based therapy to children with diverse needs under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. You will have the opportunity to:
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services as directed by the supervising OT.
- Work with neurodivergent clients, including those with autism, ADHD, developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, and other conditions.
- Implement treatment plans designed by the supervising OT, focusing on sensory regulation, fine and gross motor skills, self-care, and self-regulation.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists to provide integrated care.
- Engage with families to support skill development beyond therapy sessions.
- Access a wealth of resources, including therapy equipment, sensory tools, and clinical support.

Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- NBCOT Certification and Colorado state licensure (or eligibility for licensure).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with neurodivergent clients (ASD, ADHD, Developmental Delays, etc.) preferred, but new graduates with a strong passion for neurodiversity-affirming care are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of sensory processing, self-regulation, and fine/gross motor development.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills—teamwork is highly valued.
- Passion for neurodiversity-affirming care and child-led interventions.
