Position Summary
The Part-Time Accounts Receivable coordinator is responsible for managing the departments outstanding AR’s, maintaining accurate customer accounts, processing payments, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate professionally with internal departments and external customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Generate and process invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Post customer payments received by check, ACH, credit card.
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate billing discrepancies.
- Contact customers regarding outstanding invoices while maintaining professional relationships.
- Prepare and distribute monthly collection reports.
- Process credit memos, refunds, and payment adjustments when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate customer account records and documentation.
- Work closely with management to resolve collection issues.
- Assist with month-end closing by preparing AR reports and reconciliations.
- Respond to customer billing inquiries via phone and email.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Schedule
- Monday - Thursday
- Part-time (approximately 24–30 hours per week)
- Flexible schedule based on business needs.
