Description

Join a growing North Texas interventional pain practice in the Plano / McKinney corridor for a full-time, board-certified pain physician role. Physicians here typically earn around $600,000 on average. Compensation includes a competitive one- to two-year base guarantee of $400,000. After you meet that guarantee, compensation shifts to 50% of collections. Partnership begins immediately with no buy-in fee, and you also receive ownership in a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center that pays quarterly distributions. This role is for experienced interventional pain physicians (anesthesiology or PM&R); new graduates are not being considered.

What the Practice Looks Like You'll step into an existing outpatient pain clinic alongside other interventionalists. Nurse practitioners and physician assistants manage much of the follow-up workload, and a dedicated management team runs the business side. Your focus stays on interventional procedures. The practice is outpatient-based; hospital staff privileges are reserved for emergency coverage only.

Procedures You'll Perform Stimulator and pump implant capability is required, along with a procedure-heavy schedule of roughly 20–30 cases per day and at least 100 procedures per month. Core case mix:

  • Spinal cord stimulator trials and permanent implants
  • Pump implants
  • Nerve blocks and epidurals
  • Joint and muscular injections
  • Radiofrequency ablations under fluoroscopy
  • Discography

Hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Earnings and Ownership Structure

  • Average income around $600,000
  • One- to two-year base guarantee of $400,000
  • 50% of collections after the guarantee period
  • Productivity incentive available after six months
  • Immediate partnership with zero buy-in
  • Immediate ownership stake in a multi-specialty ASC (quarterly distributions)
  • Additional ownership paths in ancillaries such as lab and MRI

Benefits Snapshot

  • Four weeks of vacation plus one CME week
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage with low employee contributions
  • Life insurance plus short- and long-term disability
  • Holidays, PTO, and a 401(k)
  • Malpractice insurance and relocation help
  • CME and professional membership stipends
  • Maternity leave

What Sets This North Texas Role Apart You get ownership from day one in both the physician group and the ASC, high interventional volume, and a clinic built so doctors see patients while management runs operations. NP/PA support is already in place.

Living in Plano and McKinney Plano and McKinney are among the most sought-after suburbs in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, known for top-rated schools, master-planned neighborhoods, dining, and quick access to DFW International Airport and downtown Dallas.

Candidate Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited pain fellowship
  • Board certification in anesthesiology or physical medicine and rehabilitation
  • Ability to perform spinal cord stimulator and pump implants plus high-volume fluoro-guided procedures
  • Texas medical license, or actively working toward one
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach
  • Experienced interventional pain physicians only (new graduates not considered)
