We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to Director, Engineering and is based in San Jose, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week.
Core Technical Skills
- Advanced CAD proficiency: Mastery of CAD software SolidWorks
- 2D & 3D modeling: Ability to create detailed, accurate technical drawings and models for engineering projects.
- Industry standards & codes: Knowledge of engineering, or manufacturing standards.
- Software tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and file management systems (Enterprise PDM)
Experience & Education
- Education: Associate’s or technical degree in drafting, engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience: 5+ years in CAD design or related roles, with specialized experience in the target industry (energy, semiconductor, medical)
Professional Skills
- Analytical & problem-solving: Ability to interpret complex specifications and translate them into accurate designs
- Communication: Strong written and verbal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Project management: Experience managing design projects from concept to completion, and meeting deadlines
- Attention to detail: Precision in drafting to ensure compliance with project requirements
