What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading a team of Field Application Engineers (FAEs) to drive demand creation activities across Semiconductor and IP&E supplier lines.
- Responsible for driving team to achieve the KPIs.
- Building relationships with key decision makers of customers.
- Familiarize with the latest technologies in Semiconductor, Embedded, Power, Connectivity, Wireless, AI/ML and Edge Computing domains by attending supplier training in person and via conference calls.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers on Semiconductor and IP&E solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues related to Semiconductor and IP&E systems.
- Provide in-depth technical support to customers in their selection and use of Arrow Semiconductor and IP&E suppliers' development tools, silicon, components and solutions that ensure design wins for Arrow.
- Stay updated on the latest Semiconductor and IP&E technologies and trends.
- Drive demand creation by maximizing Arrow content on designs. Understand customer needs and leverage Arrow’s engineering and design services resources to facilitate solutions for customers. Apply technical knowledge to influence designs utilizing solution selling.
- Be the first point of contact for customers in resolving any technical support issues while working with Semiconductor and IP&E products, provide onsite technical support.
- Identify key relationships amongst decision makers within suppliers and customers.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with Engineering & Marketing teams to resolve customer issues, product enhancements.
- Collaborate with field and factory resources to develop and deliver technical proposals to customer project managers, engineering managers, system architects and design engineers.
- Attend and actively participate in strategic branch meetings and QBR. Develop and drive strategic technical plans by supplier line or customer solutions.
- Partner with the sales team across pre-and post-sales activities, providing technical support and consulting to promote demand creation. Technical calibrations & research with sales & other Arrow departments & suppliers in support of the customer design.
- Provide regular feedback to supplier field sales and factory experts on the needs of the customers and align with corporate goals.
What We Are Looking For
Education Qualification:
BE/BTech/ME/MSc in Electronics and Telecommunications or equivalent
Experience:
- Min 10+ years of Semiconductor, Embedded Systems, Application Engineering or Electronic System Design experience.
- Experience of leading a team of FAE or Design Engineers. Willing to travel with FAEs and handhold customers on resolving technical issues.
- Embedded design experience of working on MCU, MPU or SoC based systems from suppliers such as NXP, Infineon, STMicroelectronics, Microchip, Silicon Labs, AMD/Xilinx or Intel with working experience on Bare Metal and Operating Systems.
- Working experience on Embedded Processing, Connectivity, Industrial, Power, Analog or Wireless based designs.
- Hands-on experience of working on high-speed interface designs using PCIe, Ethernet, USB, MIPI, DDR, SerDes, connectivity and communication protocols.
- Exposure to AI/ML based design solutions, Edge AI or intelligent embedded systems will be an advantage.
- Working exposure on high-speed connectivity, networking, wireless communication or power electronics solutions will be an advantage.
- Experience of working on Sensor, Connectivity, Power Management, Industrial Automation, Analog, RF, Timing, Passive, Interconnect or Electromechanical solutions preferred.
Soft Skills
- Customer Facing: Candidate must be comfortable presenting technical roadmaps and solution strategies to CTOs, lead engineers, architects and technical decision makers.
- Problem Solving: Possess the ability to handle "line-down" technical crises or complex debugging sessions at a customer site.
- Strategic Planning: Working with the Arrow Sales Team to manage the "opportunity funnel" tracking a project from initial concept to mass production across Semiconductor and IP&E supplier portfolios.
