About the team

As a Software Developer I with a focus on Test/QA, you will contribute to the design, development, and quality of the SCE product by building and validating software solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements.

 

Working alongside experienced developers, you will develop your technical skills while contributing to product features, test automation, and engineering improvements of increasing complexity. You will participate in the software development lifecycle, including designing and implementing code, creating test scenarios, configuring test tools, and building automation frameworks that help ensure scalable, reliable, and high-quality product delivery

What you will do

• Execute automated functional, performance, integration and acceptance testing.
• Maintain and expand the automated regression test suite.
• Create reusable test scripts from requirements and software design.
• Eliminate obvious and subtle bugs in the product and write effective automated and manual functional tests.
• Augment test frameworks or test tools.
• Collaborate closely with agile team members to implement new features and enhancements in the product
• Support the testing of small to medium-sized features, user experience, performance enhancements developed by other team members
• Proactively seek opportunities to learn and develop, including participation in mentoring programs, technical training, etc.

What we are looking for

Primary Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Genuine passion for software development and testing.
• At least 2 years of experience in developing and testing complex enterprise web applications.
• Proficiency in Java, XML, SQL, REST API
• Proficiency in Jenkins, Selenium, TestNG, JMeter, Maven, SonarQube, Testlink, FitNesse, etc is desirable. 
• Familiarity with standard test methodologies like ISTQB, TDD, and agile methodologies like SCRUM.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, customer-friendly attitude.
• Intermediate analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to plan and provide well-thought-out recommendations on technical issues.

Good to have:

• Experience with transactional systems like Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Logistics knowledge and understanding of supply chain processes.
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment 

Role Specific Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to write, refactor, and modify high-quality, performant code.
• Ability to solicit, productively discuss, and incorporate feedback from peers.
• Working knowledge of software testing and familiarity with several testing frameworks and methodologies.
• Capable design skills that consider several perspectives.
