Job Description:

We are searching for the best talent to join our team as the Director, Global Communications & Public Affairs – Electrophysiology. This is a hybrid role sitting out of our Irvine, CA office.
 

Position Summary
The Director, Global Communications & Public Affairs, Electrophysiology (EP), develops and implements strategic communications programs that advance business priorities, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and enhance stakeholder engagement across the global Electrophysiology business. Partnering closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, this role drives integrated communications strategies that build understanding of the business, support transformation and growth, and elevate the visibility and impact of Electrophysiology within Johnson & Johnson. Reporting to the Senior Director, Electrophysiology Communications & Public Affairs, the position leads a small team and external agency partners.


Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership & Communications Excellence
Drive leadership visibility and stakeholder engagement through integrated
communications that reinforce business strategy, innovation, culture, and
organizational priorities.

Support the Electrophysiology Company Group Chair by translating business
priorities into clear, compelling narratives and activations.

Collaborate with regional, enterprise, and functional Communications & Public
Affairs colleagues to ensure alignment of messaging, priorities, and
communications strategies.

Measure communication effectiveness and continuously evolve content,
channels, and approaches to increase engagement, understanding, and
business impact.

Employee Engagement & Organizational Communications
Lead the global employee communications and engagement strategy for the
Electrophysiology business, helping employees understand and connect to
business priorities, performance, and culture.

Develop and implement communications for leadership transitions, organizational change, business transformation initiatives, and culture-building programs.
Global Supply Chain Communications
Lead communications strategy and execution for the Electrophysiology Global
Supply Chain organization, supporting business priorities, operational excellence, and workforce engagement.

Develop communication programs that advance understanding of key initiatives, manufacturing investments, organizational landmarks, and transformation efforts.
Partner with supply chain leadership and cross-functional partners to support business continuity, issues preparedness, and strategic communications needs.


Qualifications
Required
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in communications, public affairs, corporate communications, employee engagement, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience.
Demonstrated experience developing executive communications and thought
leadership programs for senior leaders.

Experience leading employee engagement, organizational communications, and change communications initiatives.
Strong critical thinking, bbusiness insight project management, and
partner management skills.

Experience working in a complex, global organization.
Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Preferred
Experience in medical device, healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or
other regulated industries.

Experience supporting manufacturing, operations, or supply chain organizations.
Experience managing agency and external communications partners.
Experience leading communications during periods of organizational
transformation and change.

Global communications experience supporting teams across multiple
geographies and cultures.

Leadership Expectations

deliver business outcomes.

Build strong partnerships across Communications & Public Affairs, Human

business outcomes.

global environment.

Drive alignment across functions, regions, and partner groups to advance
Electrophysiology and MedTech priorities.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$150,000.00 - $258,750.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).



This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.



Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
