Description

Your mission

The Year 1 Program Lead is accountable for executing the Year 1 fellowship experience for the annual intake of 250 fellows, translating program strategy into day-to-day coaching and support for the cohort. This role directs the venture coaches dedicated to Year 1, evaluates how the program components land in practice, and reports on results to keep the year continuously improving. The Year 1 Program Lead ensures every fellow is coached toward developing, launching, and growing a planet-positive project, and exits Year 1 ready for long-term impact in Year 2.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Fellow Coaching Quality

  • Recruit, hire and manage up to 4 FTE venture coaches across time zones, sustainability themes, and project development

  • Ensure Year 1 fellows receive high-quality coaching to develop, launch, and grow their planet-positive projects

  • Uphold the coaching standards set by the Director of Program across the Year 1 coaching team throughout the overall beVisioneers learning journey

  • Conduct performance reviews and professional development as needed

  • Plan and adjust venture coach capacity as shifts require, including managing inhouse and freelance team members

Year 1 Program Execution, Continuous Improvement & Reporting

  • Ensure Year 1 fellows are set up for long-term project impact, executing the Year 1 learning strategy, iterating coaching plans and milestones for the Year 1 cohort based on learning and continuous improvement

  • Flag gaps, redundancies, or misalignment between program content and fellow needs, including updating learning modules and venture coaching offerings, feeding into in-person events, and adjusting milestones, resolving the path forward jointly with the Director of Program

  • Adapt sequencing and delivery within Year 1 to keep the program responsive to cohort progress, coordinating Year 1 program with Ecosystem Development Department on in-person summits, pods, and local hubs

  • Report on Year 1 results and KPIs to the Director of Program on a regular cadence, with entrepreneurial milestone progression and project launch as the primary quality-of-learning metric

  • Translate reporting insights into continuous improvement actions for coaching, curriculum delivery, and cohort support

  • Maintain accurate, timely data on fellow progress to inform program-wide decision-making

Project Development & Project Scholarship Management

  • Own the Project Scholarship application process, including presenting, defending and adjusting Year 1 Project Scholarship finalists for approval

  • Own the fellow communication and coordination of social media announcements on Project Scholarship results

  • Oversee the successful transition of Year 1 fellows to Year 2 or alumni community

Your profile

  • Several years of experience in program management and team leadership within entrepreneurship, coaching, or cohort-based programs, including recruiting, performance management, and managing in-house/freelance capacity across time zones
  • Proven experience designing and scaling program components — coaching, curriculum, and portfolio management — that convert early-stage ideas into concrete, planet-positive outcomes
  • Track record managing budgets across multi-component program portfolios, including coaching, content, and scholarship or grant funds
  • Data-driven approach to prioritizing program investment based on field outcomes, with experience reporting progress and KPIs on a regular cadence and translating insights into continuous improvement actions
  • Experience coordinating program delivery with adjacent functions (events, ecosystem, community) and owning structured selection or funding processes, including presenting and defending decisions for approval
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
