Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Quality Coordinator RN in our MercyOne Genesis Bettendorf Diabetes Care!
As a Quality Coordinator RN at MercyOne, you will Assist Director in provision of professional leadership in the practice and delivery of diabetes management. Utilizes the components of clinical expertise, education, consultation, and research in the provision of quality patient care. Accountable for the management of human, fiscal, material, and environmental resources. Promote diabetes awareness, management, and education in the community. Participates in patient care management. Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the DSMES service at all sites. Ensures that services provided meet the standards established by professional JCAHO, and other regulatory agencies and meet the needs expectations of its customers in a cost-effective manner. Ensure that the National Standards (NSDSMES) are met and maintained at all times. Arrange and coordinate the activities of the Advisory Group. Serves as the liaison between the DSMES team members, the Advisory Group, other departments, and administration. Monitors and facilitates maintenance of DSMES team members qualification (CE credits, training, competency, licensures, and registrations). Responsible for maintaining ADA Recognition and participating in the evaluation

- Part time 12 hours a week
- Office Hours M-Th 8:00-4:30
General Requirements:
- Supervisory Responsibility: Direction: The job requires some accountability for scheduling, assigning or coordinating work. Employees check the quality of work and provide guidance, instruction, training and direction to others. Although the job does not require formal or official supervisory responsibility, the incumbent serves as group leader or acts in an informal "assistant supervisory" or "lead" role. In addition, the employee may be expected to provide information or suggestions on human resources matters.
- Materials Responsibility: Limited: Work requires limited responsibility for material resources. Examples of resources could include supplies, equipment, inventories, small budgets, and other similar material assets. The employee has a limited amount of control over these resources. The cost of errors is also limited in terms of damage, waste or financial loss. Problems associated with material resources are not complex. The volume of resources may vary, but the level of difficulty in dealing with these resources is uncomplicated.

Education:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Field OF Study: Nursing; Dietetics
- Special Training: CDE within 2 years; Basic Life Support.
- Licensures/Registration Registered Nurse in Iowa and Illinois or Registered and Licensed Dietitian in Iowa and
- Experience: More than 3 years experience required.
