Pay Rate: $20.00 hourly
Position Summary
Silver Star Protection Group is seeking professional and dependable Security Guards to provide security support for an upcoming Keefy Cannabis event. This is a temporary, event-based assignment for the weekend.
Security Guards will be responsible for supporting a safe and secure environment for event attendees, employees, vendors, and other authorized individuals. Specific assignments and post responsibilities will be communicated prior to or at the beginning of the event based on operational and client needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Security Guard responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain a professional and visible security presence throughout the assigned area.
- Monitor designated areas and remain alert to unusual, unsafe, or unauthorized activity.
- Assist with access control and help ensure that only authorized individuals enter restricted or designated areas, as assigned.
- Monitor pedestrian, guest, or vendor activity as directed.
- Assist with maintaining orderly movement of individuals throughout the event.
- Observe and promptly report security concerns, safety hazards, suspicious activity, disturbances, or incidents.
- Follow established post orders, client instructions, and direction provided by Silver Star Protection Group management.
- Respond appropriately to incidents within the scope of assigned responsibilities and immediately escalate concerns when necessary.
- Complete required incident reports or other documentation accurately and timely.
- Maintain professional communication and conduct when interacting with event attendees, client representatives, vendors, employees, and members of the public.
- Remain at the assigned post until properly relieved or otherwise directed by management.
- Perform other security-related duties as assigned based on event and operational needs.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Must have an active PERC card.
- Prior security, event security, customer service, military, or law enforcement experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work the full scheduled assignment.
- Must demonstrate professional communication and sound judgment.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to remain alert and attentive throughout the assigned shift.
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced event environment and interact professionally with the public.
- Must successfully complete all required company onboarding, training, and screening requirements.
Physical Requirements
The position may require prolonged periods of standing and/or walking and working in indoor or outdoor event environments. Guards must be able to perform the essential functions of the assigned post, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Assignment Expectations
This is an event-based security assignment. Specific posts, responsibilities, schedules, reporting instructions, uniform requirements, and event procedures will be communicated as additional operational information becomes available. Security Guards are expected to follow all Silver Star Protection Group policies, client requirements, post orders, and management direction throughout the assignment.
