  • Develop, monitor, and control the site operating budget, forecasts, cost-effective maintenance programs, and project spending in support of facility performance and lifecycle value.
  • Manage site contracts, contractor performance, and warranty obligations to Longroad standards and business interests.
  • Serve as a site representative with utilities, regulatory agencies, local government, landowners, community members, vendors, and internal stakeholders; complete assigned projects and travel as business needs require.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in operations and maintenance of a wind, renewable energy, power generation, or comparable industrial facility.
  • Experience supporting or managing budgets, maintenance programs, projects, contracts, warranties, or vendor relationships.
  • Working knowledge of safety programs, environmental requirements, regulatory compliance, and operational procedures applicable to energy facilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with computers, standard business software, and operational reporting tools.
  • Ability to work safely in a wind facility environment, including work at heights and performance of essential physical functions with or without reasonable accommodation, including climbing 300-foot wind turbines, lifting up to 50 pounds above head, and meeting safety gear weight requirements of 310 pounds or less.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain 24/7 on-call availability as required by site operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical four-year degree, equivalent technical training, or comparable certifications in wind energy, power generation, electrical systems, mechanical systems, or a related discipline.
  • Five or more years of supervisory, contractor management, or site leadership experience.
  • Experience with wind turbine operations, substation or high-voltage systems, balance-of-plant work, NERC/FERC compliance, and OEM warranty administration.
