What You Will Do and Learn
As a Snowflake Architect in Data Solutions, you'll lead pre-sales, estimation, scoping, design, and delivery of modern analytics solutions on Snowflake. You'll act as a hands-on architect and delivery lead on your own projects, while also providing technical guidance and people leadership to team members deployed across multiple client engagements.
Architecture & Delivery
- Own end-to-end Snowflake solution architecture: data modeling, warehouse sizing and cost optimization, RBAC/security design, data sharing, and performance tuning
- Lead the data engineering lifecycle - research, POCs, architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Design and build POCs for modern analytics stacks across cloud-based business systems for prospective clients
- Translate client business needs into technical solution designs and actionable recommendations for platform, structural, or logic issues
- Manage day-to-day technical relationship with client stakeholders on active engagements
Pre-Sales
- Lead technical workstreams in pre-sales: estimation, scoping, solution proposals, and orals/proposal defense sessions
- Partner with other practices on cross-functional solution plays and pre-sales activity
- Support sales cycles by leading solution presentations and building POCs for prospective clients
People & Team Leadership
- Manage, mentor, and develop junior technical resources assigned to your projects
- Provide technical oversight and support to team members working across multiple concurrent engagements, beyond your own direct project assignments
- Review deliverables and unblock technical issues for junior staff on other projects as needed
- Manage projects and teams against planned scope, timeline, and delivery milestones
Qualifications:
- 8+ years in business intelligence/analytics solution delivery, including 4+ years hands-on Snowflake development and architecture
- SnowPro Core certified; SnowPro Advanced: Architect preferred
- Strong SQL development skills, including advanced analytic functions and query performance tuning
- Experience with dbt and at least one major cloud platform (Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Working knowledge of BI/analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, ThoughtSpot, Qlik, or similar)
- Experience with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, etc.)
- 3+ years of consulting/project-based delivery experience (SDLC, Agile/Kanban/DevOps)
- Demonstrated experience writing business requirements, use cases/user stories, and functional test cases for data warehouse/data mart initiatives
- Prior experience managing or mentoring a technical team, including performance guidance for junior resources
- Proven ability to lead client conversations, present architecture decisions to technical and business stakeholders, and support sales cycles
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
