About the Role
Our client is looking for an Automation Engineer to take ownership of the automation infrastructure that powers key business operations. This role is responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing workflows across lead management, CRM processes, reporting, and internal operations.
This is a full-time, fully remote opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of hands-on automation experience who is ready to own production-grade systems, solve complex problems independently, and continuously improve business processes. You'll work closely with leadership and collaborate across multiple teams to build reliable, scalable automations.
Key Responsibilities
You will own the automation ecosystem end-to-end, including building new workflows, maintaining existing ones, troubleshooting issues, and continuously improving performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building and maintaining lead automation workflows, including lead intake, scoring, routing, enrichment, and CRM synchronization across multiple platforms.
- Managing CRM automation, including lead lifecycle, object relationships, field mapping, conversion logic, and activity tracking.
- Creating automated reporting processes for daily, weekly, and monthly business metrics.
- Supporting internal operational workflows such as candidate screening, meeting intelligence, calendar synchronization, and secure credential management.
- Writing, maintaining, and debugging Python and JavaScript code within automation platforms.
- Documenting workflows and automation logic to ensure maintainability and scalability.
- Identifying opportunities to improve existing systems and recommending automation solutions that increase efficiency.
As you grow into the role, you'll become responsible not only for executing automation projects but also for helping define the long-term automation strategy.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience building multi-step, multi-branch automations using Zapier, Make, or similar automation platforms.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce, including object relationships, field mapping, lead conversion, and CRM workflows.
- Experience integrating AI APIs (such as OpenAI, Claude, or similar), including prompt engineering and structured AI outputs within live workflows.
- Ability to write and debug Python and JavaScript for automation logic.
- Experience working with webhooks, API payloads, field mapping, and error handling.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills with the ability to identify and resolve automation issues independently.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear written communication.
Nice to Have
- Experience with tools such as Email Bison, Aimfox, Salesfinity, iClosed, Scrapely, Bitscale, or Fathom.
- Background in GTM Operations, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or similar functions.
- Experience with Salesforce automation features, including Flows, Triggers, or Einstein Activity Capture.
