Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Hospital in Wexford, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide compassionate customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. You may support sensitive hospital areas and assist with behavioral incidents when needed. - Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entry points, checking credentials as required, and directing visitors to appropriate locations.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
- Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
