We're REA
With bold and ambitious goals, REA Group is changing the way the world experiences property. No matter where you're at on your property journey, we're here to help with every step - whether that's finding or financing your next home.
Our people are the key to our success. At the heart of everything we do, is a thriving culture centred around high performance and care. We are purpose driven and collaborative, which drives innovation and our ability to make a real impact. As such, we’re proud to have been named in Australia’s “Top 5” Best Workplaces two years in a row, as well as being recognised as a Best Workplace for Women.
Where the team fits in
This role sits within our Consumer & Customer team – the part of our business focused on deeply understanding our audiences and turning those insights into brilliant experiences. We bring together product, marketing, data and customer experts to uncover needs, design simple and intuitive journeys, and make sure every interaction adds real value. Joining this team means championing the voice of the customer in everything you do and helping shape the products, services and experiences that drive our growth.
What the role is all about
This is no ordinary EA role. Our Executive Leadership team are dynamic, innovative, agile-minded and know how to have fun, so we’re looking for EAs that can stay ahead of them!
You’ll have all the usual responsibilities to ensure your Executive can be more efficient & effective in leading their team and achieving their business objectives:
- An operational extraordinaire: This is all about enhancing Executive & team productivity. From full diary management to complicated travel bookings, meeting preparation to reporting, juggling priorities to negotiating changes, preparing correspondence to project management, you’re all over it, keeping your Executive on time, on budget and on track with their key deliverables. Did we mention they like to travel and attend conferences and events? So anticipating travel needs and keeping them productive when they’re on the go is critical.
- An events, meetings and projects planner: Whether it’s internal or external, small or large, long term or short term, domestic or international, there’s always something to be organised. Team meetings are standard but anything else is possible.
- A technology guru: Guru might be a stretch, but you’ll need to know how to connect an international video conference with multiple locations, get the Executive’s laptop back up and running when it won’t cooperate, and navigate the expense system, or at least know who to ask for help to get the IT stuff done. We use Trello, Slack, Powerpoint and many more platforms to collaborate, so any experience with these would be a win!
- Communication: You’ll be communicating with everyone, verbally and in writing, including drafting correspondence and preparing complex reports. You’ll know how to be discreet and maintain confidentiality when it comes to handling sensitive information.
- OHS & EEO: Everyone wants to be safe and healthy at work and it’s everyone’s responsibility to adhere to the standards, including your own professional and ethical behaviour, as well as reporting potential hazards when you see them.
- One team: You’re an experienced EA, so you know what happens to your Executive when you take leave. Having a buddy system and covering for other EAs is part of the deal here too.
This is a Senior role. We’re looking for:
- Someone with more than a few runs on the board – 10 years experience in an EA role including liaising across C-suite Executives and their teams, preferably previously supporting a Commerical and/or Marketing exectuives.
- Experience in Commerical, Marketing or Digital Media would be awesome
- Events and project management experience is also desirable
- Tech savvy, ability to prepare meeting materials, presentations and correspondence
- Someone who looks at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lens
- Someone who works productively with strong initiative in a fast paced and agile environment - #gsd (urban dictionary will help on this one!)
- Experience in a similar ASX listed company
The REA experience
The physical, mental, emotional and financial health of our people is something we’ll never stop caring about. This is a place to learn and grow.
Some of our Perks & Benefits include:
- A hybrid and flexible approach to working

- Flexible parental leave offering for primary and secondary carers
- Our Because We Care program offers employees volunteering leave, community grants, matched payroll giving and our Community Café donates 100% of revenue to charity
- Hackdays so you can bring your big ideas to life
Our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
We are committed to providing a working environment that embraces and values diversity, equity and inclusion. We believe teams with diverse ideas and experiences are more creative, more effective and fuel disruptive thinking. If you've got the skills, dedication and enthusiasm to learn but don't necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please still get in touch.
