Ready to take your career global?
At Global Payments, you can shape how businesses and people connect through commerce. As a leader in contract management, you’ll play a critical role in protecting our contractual position while creating smarter, more effective ways to manage risk, meet regulatory requirements and deliver strong outcomes for our clients.
What you’ll own
- Own the contract lifecycle by drafting, reviewing and approving legal documents that accurately reflect negotiated terms, protect Global Payments’ contractual position and meet legal, regulatory and internal policy requirements.
- Drive commercial and contractual risk management by assessing agreements, interpreting rights and obligations, and providing clear guidance that enables informed business decisions.
- Lead complex negotiations and client relationships by acting as a strategic contract liaison with clients and vendors, resolving conflicts and achieving outcomes that balance commercial priorities, client expectations and Global Payments’ interests.
- Influence senior leadership by translating complex contractual terms and requirements into clear recommendations, helping leaders make confident decisions and navigate changing business and regulatory priorities.
- Shape the future of contract management by identifying opportunities created by technology, regulatory, audit and business changes, then driving improvements to processes, procedures and templates that increase efficiency and reduce risk.
- Lead high-impact legal initiatives by defining scope, setting priorities, assigning resources and serving as an escalation point for complex projects and research requests, ensuring teams deliver against business and Legal priorities.
- Build and evolve contract management technology by leading the technical resources responsible for the systems used by the Legal department, creating a more effective and scalable contract management experience.
- Influence the long-term direction of the function through strategic planning, recommendations for the contract management organization and input into cost center budgeting, creating a strong foundation for continued growth.
What you bring
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience, with a strong track record in contract management, legal operations or a related field.
- 3 to 4 years of supervisory experience, with the ability to set direction, develop talent, prioritize resources and lead teams through complex work.
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited university. Relevant professional experience may be considered in place of a degree.
- Strong contractual and commercial judgment, with the ability to interpret complex terms, assess risk and turn legal requirements into practical business decisions.
- Proven leadership across complex, cross-functional initiatives, bringing together Legal, business stakeholders, leadership and technical teams to achieve shared outcomes.
- Clear, confident communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at different levels and build productive relationships with clients, vendors, attorneys and senior leaders.
It’s a bonus if you have
- Experience within the payments, credit card processing or financial services industry.
- A curious, innovative mindset, with the drive to identify better ways of working, adapt to change and create contract management solutions that strengthen the business.
