Occupancy PlannerJob Description Summary
The Occupancy Planner supports the management of space supply, capacity, and demand across the client's portfolio. Working closely with stakeholders, the Occupancy Planning Lead, and the broader Occupancy Planning team, this role is responsible for managing and owning their regional portfolio of occupancy planning projects, client relationships, and workplace planning initiatives.The Occupancy Planner develops workplace planning solutions, test fits, stack plans, and occupancy analyses that support business objectives and real estate strategies. This position combines tactical office space planning with occupancy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination. The ideal candidate is comfortable developing test fits, working with occupancy and utilization data, presenting recommendations to clients, and serving as the primary occupancy planning partner for stakeholders within their assigned region.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and own a regional portfolio of occupancy planning projects and workplace initiatives for an assigned client portfolio in collaboration with the OP lead and the broader OP team
- Serve as the primary point of contact for occupancy planning for stakeholders within an assigned region.
- Build and maintain client and site stakeholder relationships, providing ongoing planning support and recommendations.
- Develop block plans, stack plans, test fits, and office space planning solutions with minimal support in the clinical portfolio.
- Create and maintain current and forecasted stack plans.
- Maintain and analyze business and associate demand, supply, occupancy, and utilization data.
- Monitor space utilization against approved plans, workplace standards, and occupancy targets.
- Conduct occupancy and utilization analyses to identify planning opportunities and recommend space solutions.
- Present planning recommendations, utilization analyses, and portfolio insights to clients and stakeholders.
- Translate occupancy and utilization data into clear, actionable recommendations through effective data storytelling.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to support successful project delivery.
- Support change and move management efforts related to workplace changes, occupancy initiatives, and evolving workstyles.
- Maintain planning records, reporting, and portfolio data within CAFM/IWMS platforms and the data team.
Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Corporate Real Estate, Facilities Management, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience
- 4+ years of experience directly with occupancy planning and/or workplace planning within the corporate real estate, space management, or facilities management sectors.
- Experience in office space planning is required with clinical or healthcare planning environment experience a plus.
- Experience developing test fits, workplace layouts, occupancy plans, and space utilization recommendations.
- Experience supporting office space planning, occupancy management, or workplace strategy initiatives.
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience presenting planning recommendations and occupancy insights to clients and stakeholders.
Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of CAFM/IWMS platforms and space management systems; SerraView experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit required; experience with both is a plus.
- Experience with Bluebeam preferred.
- Strong data analysis, data manipulation, and reporting skills including daily use and understanding of pivot tables and formulas
