Associate Manager- Record to Report & Finance Systems | Hybrid Work Setup

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Finance Services Manager – Record to Report and Finance Systems, the incumbent is responsible to ensure financial and internal controls are followed so that reporting is accurate, timely, and consistent. This includes helping interpret new accounting standards and coordinating resources to meet reporting deadlines.

The financial accounting function is typified by a series of stringent reporting requirements which must be achieved. Within the tight time constraints of the environment, the position is expected to continually seek ways of improving the accuracy of the accounting information, the presentation of reports, and reduce the time to complete reporting activities.

The financial accounting function operates under strict reporting timelines. The role is expected to look for ways to improve the accuracy of accounting information, the quality of reports, and the efficiency of reporting processes.

The position works with moderate supervision and provides day-to-day guidance and support to a team of Finance Analysts and Senior Finance Analysts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Financial Accounting and Reporting

• Support the preparation of consolidated financial reports for Zalora and other GFG affiliates, in line with corporate, statutory, and IFRS requirements.
• Help apply new or updated corporate, statutory, and IFRS accounting standards.
• Provide financial and business knowledge to support sound analysis and recommendations on finance-related tasks.

• Help ensure fixed assets are managed according to policy, including identifying impaired assets and maintaining accurate asset registers.
• Follow inventory accounting policies and internal controls in line with IFRS and statutory requirements.
• Support timely and accurate preparation of intercompany billings, and assist in reviewing monthly recharge costs to ensure records are accurate.

3. Reconciliation and Integrity of Statutory Financial Statements

• Help maintain the accuracy of monthly financial statements through account reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Support the monthly balance sheet review process for Zalora and other GFG affiliates.
• Assist as a point of contact for external auditors during quarterly reviews and audits.

4. Financial Reporting Systems and Procedures

• Help ensure financial systems are working well and support training for finance end users.
• Support the development and upkeep of policies and procedures for financial accounting processes, in line with accounting standards and requirements.

5. Internal Controls

• Identify opportunities to improve internal controls and business processes.
• Support process standardization and automation with other teams (ERP, Data, Technology).
• Share best practices and support process improvement initiatives.
• Help manage cost-effective delivery of services to Zalora and GFG affiliates.

6. Talent Management

• Support team members' development through coaching, training, goal-setting, and feedback.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Accounting; professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, etc.) preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in RTR functions, with some experience guiding or mentoring team members.
• Good understanding of International Accounting Standards and Statutory Accounting Requirements.
• Familiarity with Indonesia Local Statutory requirements and IFRS is an advantage.
• Some experience supporting process improvement projects is a plus.
• Familiarity with SAP S4 Hana and OneStream is an advantage.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to work well with colleagues across functions.
• Team-oriented, self-motivated, and hands-on approach to problem solving.
• Good coaching and interpersonal skills, comfortable working in a multicultural environment.
• Good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of another Asian language is a plus
