About the role

We are looking for a Specialist Contract Management to provide specialist support for critical contracts and associated contractor management activities that support the delivery of orebody and water knowledge. You will work across operations, planning, hydrogeology, technical delivery, and procurement teams to optimise contract performance, governance, and commercial outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Superintendent Contract & Cost Management, you will: 

  • Support the development and implementation of Develop and implement contract management strategies, policies and guidelines that support business objectives.

  • Support the management of Manage medium to high-risk contracts and service agreements, ensuring alignment with operational and commercial requirements.

  • Support the development of contractor performance through the development of frameworks and contract governance processes.

  • Lead contract improvement initiatives that optimise cost, performance and value delivery.

  • Partner with Procurement and operational stakeholders on sourcing strategies, tendering activities and contract negotiations.

  • Provide specialist contract management advice and guidance to planning, operational and technical teams.

  • Support risk management, compliance reviews, audits and assurance activities related to contract management.

  • Coach and influence internal stakeholders and contract partners to strengthen contract management capability and contractor performance.

Required for Success

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.

  • Demonstrated experience managing contracts, procurement activities or contractor governance within mining, resources, infrastructure or another complex industrial environment.

  • Experience developing or implementing contract management strategies and performance improvement initiatives.

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret contract obligations and operational requirements.

  • Proven ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders across technical, operational and commercial functions.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on delivering practical business outcomes.

  • Ability and proven success in operating within a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment while maintaining resilience and delivering outcomes.

Helpful for Success

  • A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Procurement, Contracts, Supply Chain, Finance, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience supporting operational performance through contractor management and governance frameworks.

  • Exposure to tendering, sourcing, procurement planning or contract negotiation activities.

  • Experience coaching or mentoring others in contract management practices.
