BOS Corporate Treasury, under the BOS CFO Office, is seeking a Treasury professional to be part of the Corporate Treasury team. The role is responsible to support the balance sheet strategy and managing the Bank’s liquidity, funding, and interest rate risk. The ideal candidate should possess strong ALM and treasury experience, demonstrate strategic thinking, and have a proven track record in balance sheet and financial management.
WHAT YOU DO
Balance Sheet Strategy and Management
- Support the execution of balance sheet strategies to optimize financial performance and maintain a resilient balance sheet.
- Enhance balance sheet, liquidity, funding, and Net Interest Income (NII) analytics through forecasting, modelling, and management reporting.
- Support the evaluation of market, funding, and balance sheet trends to identify risks, opportunities, and strategic actions that support liquidity and earnings growth.
- Collaborate with business and support units to drive sustainable growth in loans, deposits, and Asset Under Management (AUM) while improving profitability.
Fund Transfer Pricing (FTP) Policy and Framework
- Review and maintain Fund Transfer Pricing (FTP) policies and methodologies, including Liquidity Premium (LP) framework and strategic pricing adjustments, to align business incentives with the Bank’s balance sheet objectives.
- Monitor market developments, funding conditions, and balance sheet dynamics to recommend FTP enhancements that strengthen the Bank’s liquidity profile and overall financial performance
- Support targeted pricing initiatives to grow loans, deposits, AUM, and Net New Money (NNM).
Liquidity Management and Funding Strategy
- Manage daily funding and liquidity activities, including money market placements and borrowings, FX swaps, and intercompany funding, to optimize funding costs and returns.
- Monitor and manage the Bank’s High Quality Liquid Assets (HQLA) for BOS Hong Kong branch to ensure adequate liquidity buffers and compliance with Liquidity Maintenance Ratio (LMR) and Liquidity Adequacy Ratio (LAR) requirements.
- Oversee liquidity risk indicators and limits, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements and promptly escalating potential breaches.
Business Advisory, Projects, and Strategic Partnerships
- Provide robust financial analysis and forward-looking insights to support strategic business decisions and financial targets
- Develop and enhance forecasting, stress-testing, and scenario analysis capabilities to assess the impact of market, business, and regulatory changes.
- Drive adoption of advanced analytics and AI solutions to improve business insights, forecasting accuracy, and decision-making.
Requirements:
- At least 5 – 7 years of experience in Corporate Treasury, Asset and Liability Management (ALM)
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent are advantageous but not mandatory
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable business recommendations
- Ability to leverage data, market intelligence, and financial analytics to support pricing decisions, portfolio management, and strategic planning
- Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environments.
