Description
The Account Manager manages client accounts from inquiry through event completion and follow-up. This client-facing role develops client relationships, proposals, and contracts; gathers event requirements; and coordinates Venue SIX10 services to support successful events.
Serving as the primary client contact, the role works closely with internal teams, vendors, and service partners to ensure event details are communicated, coordinated, and delivered. As a key member of Venue SIX10’s Account Management department, the role works collaboratively with colleagues and venue partners to deliver a consistent client experience.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Account Management
- Manage assigned client relationships from inquiry through post-event follow-up.
- Understand client objectives, event needs, timelines, and service requirements.
- Provide responsive communication, proactive follow-up, and solutions to client needs.
- Build relationships that support client satisfaction, retention, and rebooking.
Sales & Business Development
- Respond to inquiries and RFPs, conduct client discovery and facilitate venue tours.
- Develop proposals, estimates, and contracts using established venue standards.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and account information.
- Identify opportunities for additional services, repeat business, and revenue growth.
Event & Venue Coordination
- Gather and document event requirements, including schedules, attendance, room setup, AV/IT, facilities, furniture, staffing, and other venue services.
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and service partners to support contracted services.
- Participate in client meetings and venue walkthroughs.
- Monitor deadlines, decisions, and changes to ensure events are fully prepared.
Event Delivery & Follow-Up
- Serve as the primary client contact leading up to and, when appropriate, during the event.
- Coordinate resolution of event-related questions or issues.
- Conduct post-event follow-up and identify opportunities for future business.
Administration & Other Duties
- Maintain accurate proposals, contracts, event details, floorplans, schedules, and client communications.
- Manage client billing and payment processing.
- Keep account, pipeline, and revenue information current in designated systems.
- Follow established account-management processes and timelines.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of Venue SIX10.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in hospitality, events, venues, sales, or account management.
- Strong client service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, and deadlines.
- Comfortable with sales, proposals, contracts, and business development.
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Infor Reserve and/or Cvent Event Diagramming is a plus.
- Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, or non-standard hours based on event and business requirements.
