Description
Work Setup: Monday to Friday, Full Onsite
Location: Makati
Industry: Retail
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including transaction recording, reconciliations, financial reporting, and monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing.
- Establish and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and financial policies covering cash handling, inventory, procurement, and expenses.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of financial records, including inventory, fixed assets, accounts payable/receivable, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Manage tax compliance, statutory reporting, tax filings, and coordination with external tax advisors, auditors, and government agencies.
- Support business growth through financial analysis, process improvements, accounting system/ERP implementation, and effective management of the finance team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA license is required, with additional finance, accounting, or tax certifications considered an advantage.
- At least 10 years of relevant accounting experience, including a minimum of 3 years in retail, preferably in a large-format retail environment.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial accounting role, with the ability to lead and develop a finance team.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards, tax regulations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
