Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Manager, Supply Chain, you will manage the daily operations of distribution, receiving, and logistics services, ensuring supply cost containment in PAR Management areas and supporting contract compliance across all departments.
Every day you will manage vendor relationships and credentialing, support the Director in implementing contract conversion products, collaborate with nursing and procedure-based departments to refine business processes, and develop staff work schedules, training, and performance. You will also analyze reports and trend supply utilization to optimize operations and maximize quality.
To be successful in this role, you will possess strong leadership and operational management skills in supply chain, a deep understanding of purchasing, inventory, and logistics, expertise in vendor management and credentialing, and the ability to effectively collaborate with clinical departments to drive quality improvement and cost efficiency.
- Manages all on-site Supply Chain Staff, and support systems (to include Lawson) to maintain the daily workflow of logistics, receiving and supply distribution where applicable.
- Oversees receiving and distribution functions and provides supervision of deliveries to hospital and to all satellite offices supported by the facility.
- Manages and oversees the complete process of return goods to ensure timeliness, accuracy and completeness of return.
- Actively rounds with Supply Chain Staff and user departments to identify service issues and resolve in a timely manner.
- Ensure Supply Chain Staff adhere to established Enterprise Business Processes as designed.
- Assists the Director Supply Chain with the management of and interaction with Sales and Vendor representatives regarding new supplies, recalls and problems related to supply availability and vendor credentialing.
Job Requirements
Required
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- Three (3) years of Progressive Healthcare Supply Chain Management experience or five (5) years of non healthcare supervisory experience.
Preferred
- Associate Degree
- Certified Material Resource Professional
