Your Mission
You'll become a trusted technical partner to major industrial and infrastructure clients across Belgium and Luxembourg. From initial project planning to final customer acceptance, you'll own the commissioning journey — backed by a supportive team and world-class technical resources.
Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute commissioning activities in all types of project sizes and complexities in close collaboration with the Senior Commissioning Engineer. Each day, you will execute these activities efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting continuous improvement in project processes, products, and system design.

Main stakeholders: Service Manager, Senior Commissioning Engineers, internal project teams, external contractors, utility and industrial clients
Your Day-to-Day Includes:
Supporting in planning, implementation, and coordination of commissioning activities for medium and high voltage installations
Implementing commissioning design changes and providing mark-ups for as-built project documentation
Applying standard processes and procedures to ensure all commissioning activities meet contractual requirements and safety standards
Conducting risk and opportunity assessments during the commissioning phase and handling technical risks by following mitigation guidelines
Developing detailed work plans and cost estimates for commissioning activities; coordinating with project staff and external contractors
Programming, testing, and validating protection systems (relay protections, automation controls) before customer acceptance
Providing technical training to both internal teams and customers to ensure proper system understanding and operation
Translating technical requirements into clear guidelines for team members and staying current with cybersecurity and safety best practices
Our Team Dynamics
You will join a talented, collaborative team of experienced commissioning professionals, where continuous learning and technical excellence are valued. You'll have direct access to senior engineers, on-the-ground support, and the resources you need to succeed.
What Makes You Right for This Role?
We're looking for someone with the technical depth to lead commissioning activities and the communication skills to connect with customers' operational needs. Someone who's energized by solving complex technical challenges and takes pride in ensuring installations meet the highest safety and quality standards. You're a collaborative problem-solver who takes ownership of project outcomes and embraces continuous improvement.
Qualifications for the Role
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent professional experience) with a proven track record in electrical systems and project execution
Highly skilled in medium and high voltage system principles with the willingness to grow expertise in industrial distribution and protection systems; experience with IEC 61850 / DCS systems is an asset
You have established skills in planning, risk assessment, and commissioning processes with knowledge of safety regulations related to mounting and installation; ability to manage multiple stakeholders
You are passionate about technical excellence, continuous improvement, and collaborative problem-solving with a solution-focused mindset and strong written and verbal communication skills
At ease communicating fluently in Dutch, French, and English — clear communication with internal teams and clients is essential
Hold a current valid driver's license (Category B) — you will travel frequently across Belgium and Luxembourg for on-site commissioning activities
What You Get in Return?
When you build what runs the world, you should feel supported in this mission every step of the way.
Here's What We Offer:
Attractive salary
Meal vouchers, expense reimbursement
32 paid vacation days (20 legal + 12 ADV)
