The Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist will work in conjunction with Consumer Loan Servicing management to promote and ensure appropriate servicing support is experienced by both internal and external customers and ensure that the overall goals of the department are met efficiently and effectively as described from time to time. The Consumer Loan Specialist may at times be required to collaborate and work in conjunction with other business lines across the organization to meet both regulatory and other customer support and department goal expectations.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance and research involving consumer and mortgage loan products in various loan processing systems.
Reconcile and balance multiple general ledger and other suspense type accounts as they relate to general loan servicing requirements.
Perform quality control reviews of various loan documentation requirements.
Document, record and release various collateral tied to consumer and mortgage loan packages as required.
Answer phones, provide replies and answers via various loan servicing mailboxes within established SLA time-frames whether from internal or external customers.
Post payments, process payoff requests as requested by internal and external customers.
Review and analyze various reports, document findings and present said findings to management, audit or other groups as required via spreadsheets and other reporting mechanism.
Onboard and document new loans as required.
Perform various Quality Assurance functions as established by management ensuring proper department oversight of the loan onboarding and closing processes.
Communicate and work with internal and external partners such as audit, compliance and vendor’s as necessary to ensure the department is meeting its regulatory and other loan servicing responsibilities.
Take ownership of various issues and problems as they occur and where applicable perform detailed analytical reviews and research to resolve such promptly, all while providing excellence in customer service.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Prior experience in a high-volume loan servicing and support environment is preferred.
Must have prior experience in monetary, transactional or loan product servicing.
Must have basic knowledge of lending terms and regulations as they may apply to various servicing situations.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail is required.
Must have good listening skills with ability to research, document and articulate findings.
Must have practical knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within a loan servicing environment involving consumer and mortgage loan servicing.
Knowledge of bank loan products and services as well as accounting, and exception processing practices is preferred.
Familiarity with current loan servicing systems and applications is preferred.
Must have the ability to review and interpret loan documentation from a quality control / assurance perspective to ensure such documents meet regulatory and bank policy requirements.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Power Point.

Salary Range:
$38,099.00 - $62,591.75Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidate’s experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
