ING is expanding its investments platform internationally. That growth asks for clear governance, strong controls and scalable ways of working. As Risk & Governance Specialist, you help keep the investment proposition well controlled while enabling countries and teams to move forward.

The team
You will be part of the CoE Investments Processes team within the Global Investments Tribe. The team drives investments operations processes, driving harmonization, operational excellence and sustainable growth of investment services across our ING countries.
Roles and responsibilities
- Coordinate risk, governance and control activities across the Investments domain.
- Help translate requirements from Risk, policies and IT into practical ways of working.
- Own and improve business role and authorization models, including role reviews and access governance.
- Support assessments, audits and follow-up actions with clear documentation and stakeholder alignment.
- Coordinate service governance with countries, including service reviews and follow-up on agreed actions.
- Identify gaps and improvement opportunities that help make the investment platform more scalable and well controlled.
How to succeed
You are structured, proactive and pragmatic. You understand that good governance is not about adding complexity, but about creating clarity, ownership and confidence. You can work with senior stakeholders and specialists, keep momentum on follow-up actions and make abstract requirements concrete.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in a related field
- Experience in financial services, investments, asset management, banking or another regulated environment.
- Affinity with risk management, governance, control frameworks or user access management.
- Ability to bring structure to complex topics and translate requirements into practical implementation steps.
- Strong stakeholder management across Product, Risk, Compliance, IT, Operations and country teams.
- Analytical, precise and hands-on way of working.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills; fluent English. Dutch is a plus.
