Role Overview
As a QA Team Lead, you will spearhead our testing strategy across Web, Mobile, and API platforms while mentoring and scaling a high-performing team of QA engineers. You will drive process optimization within CI/CD pipelines, partner with cross-functional leadership to ensure release readiness, and leverage key quality metrics to provide actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
Position Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Mentorship: Guide, mentor, and grow a team of manual and automation QA engineers. Conduct regular 1-on-1s, set performance goals, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
QA Strategy & Architecture: Define, implement, and maintain the overall test strategy across multiple platforms (Web, Mobile, API). Oversee the design and scaling of automation frameworks.
Process Optimization: Integrate QA processes seamlessly into the CI/CD pipeline and Agile/Scrum workflows.
Release Management: Partner with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to assess release readiness, manage risk, and coordinate deployment schedules.
Metrics & Reporting: Establish and track key quality metrics (e.g., test coverage, defect escape rate, automation ROI) and regularly report insights to senior leadership.
Minimum Requirements
Experience: 5+ years in Software Quality Assurance, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior capacity.
Automation Toolkit: Proficient with modern automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress) and languages (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java).
Testing Scope: Deep experience in API testing (Postman, RestAssured), performance testing (JMeter), and mobile testing (Appium).
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, risk management, and the ability to advocate for quality without stalling product velocity.
Preferred Qualifications
Having as many of these specific qualifications is a plus, but transferable skills/experiences may be equally valuable:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
