Aspire Pharmaceuticals is a growing pharmaceutical manufacturing company based in Somerset, New Jersey. Established in 2009, Aspire specializes in the development and manufacturing of softgels, liquid-filled capsules, and innovative delivery technologies for dietary supplement and OTC products. Who You Are

The Buyer is responsible for purchasing and ensuring the timely availability of raw materials, packaging materials, components, and other supplies needed to support production. This position works closely with Planning, Logistics, Inventory, Quality, and suppliers to maintain material availability and prevent production delays.

What You'll Do

• Create, issue, and maintain accurate purchase orders in the ERP/MRP system.
• Verify PO pricing, quantities, delivery dates, payment terms, and other purchasing information.
• Obtain supplier confirmations and resolve differences in pricing, quantity, lead time, or delivery dates.
• Review open purchase orders regularly and ensure delivery dates, quantities, and order information are accurate.
• Follow up with suppliers on open, overdue, or unconfirmed purchase orders.
• Identify potential material shortages or supplier delays and communicate risks to Planning and other departments.
• Expedite, push out, pull in, increase, decrease, reschedule, or cancel purchase orders based on production requirements.
• Work closely with the Master Planner and other Buyers to align purchasing with production schedules and material needs.
• Coordinate with Logistics and suppliers regarding shipment readiness, pickup arrangements, freight, and delivery dates.
• Monitor supplier commitments and follow up to ensure materials are delivered on time.
• Support resolution of receiving, quantity, pricing, quality, and supplier-related issues.
• Maintain effective communication with Planning, Logistics, Inventory Control, Quality, and other departments.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or material planning experience preferred.
• Manufacturing or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and purchase order management.
• Good understanding of purchasing, inventory, supplier lead times, and material planning.
• Strong Excel, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to identify supply risks.

What We Offer

Compensation: $75,000–$95,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
