Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and organized Warehouse Clerk to join our team in Durban, South Africa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to receiving, storing, and distributing products within our warehouse. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming products, ensuring accuracy and quality
- Organize and maintain inventory in an efficient and orderly manner
- Prepare and pack orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move and store products
- Perform regular inventory counts and report any discrepancies to management
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all health and safety regulations
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers as needed
- Communicate with suppliers and customers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues
- Provide support to other warehouse staff as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of inventory management systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
