Business Unit and Position Summary:
Crane ChemPharma & Energy is a division within the Process Flow Technologies Business Segment of Crane Co, a US multi-national company which specializes in highly engineered products in specialty markets. Crane ChemPharma & Energy designs, manufactures, markets, and distributes a range of fluid handling equipment under multiple brand names for a wide range of applications in several industries including but not limited to the chemical, biopharmaceutical, and energy industries.

Position Summary:
This role gives you visibility to business performance, strategic decision-making, and cross-functional operations across the ChemPharma/Energy group. In this position, you will work closely with the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, and finance leaders across the organization to analyse results, and assist in building the annual operating plan and forecasts. You will utilize Operational Excellence tools to improve processes and turn financial data into insights that help drive business decisions. You will also gain hands-on experience with HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) reporting and provide support to CPE’s HFM users across the globe.
Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to):
Supports in the monthly review and analysis of key variances in the Balance Sheet and Income Statements for CPE entities.
Assists in the development of senior level presentations on business results, performance analysis, financial models, forecasts and budgets, etc.
Assists in the preparation of annual operating plan, and various forecasts (weekly pulses, monthly outlook, quarterly forecasts).
Prepare HFM-based financial reports and analysis for operations and finance senior management team.
Responsible for HFM validation including analysis and year-end schedules.
Assists users throughout the group with HFM related issues.
Build and improve templates used across the group for month-end close, forecasts, plans, and other recurring finance activities.
Develop a holistic understanding of Crane’s structure, strategy, and operations through site engagement and cross-functional activities.
Partners with other Finance leaders in the organization to develop and implement process improvements.
Work with Team to validate monthly productivity figures and drive additional productivity actions.
Learn how key processes operate across facilities, apply Operational Excellence tools to improve efficiency, and help teams understand the financial impact of business decisions.
Take on additional projects that broaden your finance, operations, and business leadership experience.
Essential Qualifications / Experience:
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
Must demonstrate strong analytical and excellent communication skills (oral and written).
Independent thinker possessing resilience, passion, and high-energy.
Organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced business environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, strong Excel skills and an interest in learning financial systems and reporting tools.
Working knowledge of GAAP and current accounting practices, with a willingness to deepen technical accounting knowledge on the job.
