Job Descriptions

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Fresh graduate or with 1 – 2 years of relevant working experience which is involved in Occupational Safety and Health.
• Preferred registered Safety Health Officer with DOSH and valid green book holder.
• Familiar with Malaysia OSH Legislation such as OSHA 1994, FMA 1967 and EQA 1974.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software.
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and people skills to interact with all levels of employees and management from various departments, external consultants and vendors, government bodies, and etc.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving skills in making quick, independent and rational decisions.
• Understand the framework of general Safety & Health as per OSHA !994 Act.
• Strong team player, time management, result driven and flexibility is essential.
• Leadership & teamwork qualities required.
• Proven organizational skills required.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide support to Asst Manager, Manager and AVP of Genting Theme Parks – HSC.
• To recommend and develop effective safety strategies, policies and procedures for both Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park and Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park Technical Services and Facilities Management, Midway Attractions, including cable car operations, Awana and Genting Skyways.
• Assist in the implementation of the Company's Health and Safety Policy and maintenance of the Occupational Safety & Health Management Systems and ISO 14001.
• Assist the Senior Executive, Assistant Manager and Manager in carrying out incident investigation. Once familiar with the investigation process, conduct the investigation independently.
• Carry out audit, inspections to detect existing or potential health and safety hazards, and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
• Provide trainings to all employees to ensure that they operate in compliance with all the standards and legal requirements.
• Conduct HIRARC (Hazards Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control) and Job Safety Analysis at workplace
• Prepare safety evaluation reports.
• Ensure all team members and stakeholders working in Genting Theme Parks to comply with OSH regulations.
• Conduct regular safety briefings and programs to create workers’ awareness.
• Conduct investigation on workplace incidents & report to relevant local authority as required by law.
• Liaise with relevant authorities such as Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Department of Environment (DOE), BOMBA and other related departments when necessary.
