Engineering Internship – Eversource Energy

Distribution Engineering: Provides engineering, design, and equipment expertise for distribution line and substation facilities. Must be pursuing BS in Engineering: Electrical preferred, open to Mechanical Engineering or similar, requires some technical and analytical background and experience.

·       Gain foundational knowledge of electric utility distribution system design and operations.

·       Learn engineering principles related to electric reliability and system performance.

·       Develop technical, analytical, and project management skills.

·       Build experience working with engineering drawings, circuits, and utility infrastructure.

·       Enhance communication and customer service skills through interaction with internal stakeholders.

·       Gain insight into how engineering teams support safe, reliable electric service.

·       Primarily office-based, with opportunities for occasional field observations and site visits under supervisor guidance.

·       Collaborative environment with direct exposure to utility engineering professionals and real-world infrastructure projects.

Interns are paid through our Managed Service Provider Program and are not employees of Eversource. Pay rates are hourly, based on year of graduation and if the role is technical or non-technical. Rates start at $21.20 for a 1st year and go up to $32.30 for graduate level students.
