At Genesis Minerals, we’re building the trusted Australian gold miner, with a growing portfolio of high-quality assets across the Leonora and Laverton regions. Behind every successful operation is a team of people and services working seamlessly together — and this is where you come in.
We’re seeking an experienced Superintendent Administration to lead the delivery of administration, travel, accommodation, catering and facilities services across our Leonora Operations. This is a key leadership role for someone who can balance the demands of a busy mining operation with strong people leadership, commercial discipline and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Reporting to the General Manager of Leonora Operations, you’ll play an important role in ensuring our people have the services, systems and support they need to perform at their best, while providing effective administrative support to senior leaders.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll take ownership of the administration function, ensuring essential site services are delivered efficiently, reliably and to a high standard. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading site administration – overseeing administrative services, systems and processes to ensure they remain fit-for-purpose and support operational priorities.
- Managing travel and accommodation – coordinating travel to and from site, camp accommodation, catering and associated services to meet the needs of our workforce.
- Overseeing facilities and infrastructure – managing the maintenance of company-owned buildings and related infrastructure.
- Driving contract performance – managing key administration and site services contracts, working with suppliers and internal stakeholders to maximise value and service delivery.
- Providing senior leadership support – delivering efficient and effective administrative and personal support to the General Manager of Leonora Operations.
- Managing costs and resources – partnering with the Commercial team to review expenditure, monitor budgets, analyse camp stock and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Building a high-performing team – leading, developing and empowering the Administration team to deliver consistent service and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Contributing to site leadership – working collaboratively with operational leaders and corporate support teams to improve performance and support the delivery of site plans.
What you’ll bring
You’re a confident and practical leader who understands the complexities of site administration in a mining environment. You know how to bring people together, manage competing priorities and ensure essential services operate effectively in a fast-paced, operational setting.
You’ll also bring:
- At least seven years of relevant experience in a mining environment, including a minimum of two years in a similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of facilities management, accommodation and catering services, travel coordination and contract administration.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams, delegating effectively and developing a positive, accountable workplace culture.
- Sound commercial acumen, including budget management, cost control, financial analysis and reporting.
- A proven ability to identify and implement business improvements that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Strong systems capability, including Microsoft Office and experience with enterprise systems such as SAP, Workday, Pronto or similar.
- Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the business and with external service providers.
- A current C Class manual driver’s licence.
A Certificate IV in Business and Administration, Certificate IV in Frontline Management, or a relevant tertiary qualification will be well regarded.
