Description
ProHealth Partners is an established multi-specialty physician group and has been providing care to patients over the last 30 years. Our network includes over 250+ physicians in over 100+ clinics throughout the greater Long Beach, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Inland Empire areas.
We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to support our Internal Medicine clinic in Long Beach, CA.
Job Type: Part-time, Direct hire
Pay: $65-80 per hour
Hours: Thursdays, 8:30am-5pm & Fridays, 8:30am - 12:00pm to start, open to increase hours
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care under the supervision of a physician, with a focus on both acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Perform physical examinations, medical histories, and ongoing assessments for patients with a variety of internal medicine concerns.
- Develop, manage, and adjust individualized treatment plans, including medication management, lifestyle modification, and preventive care strategies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate referrals, specialty consultations, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Accurately document patient encounters, progress notes, and treatment updates in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., labs, imaging, screenings) relevant to internal medicine and age-specific patient needs.
Requirements:
- Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of California
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as an NP or PA.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Interest in holistic, integrative, and functional medicine.
- Open to learning and incorporating functional medicine principles into patient care.
- Familiarity with nutraceuticals, vitamins, supplements, and evidence-based integrative therapies is preferred.
- Interest in health optimization, preventive medicine, wellness, and fitness.
- Bilingual, a plus but not required.
