Location: Karachi, Pakistan (Remote Working)
About Supply Chain Talks
Supply Chain Talks supports organizations with supply chain advisory, operational transformation and digital solution implementation. Our technology engagements cover a broad portfolio of supply chain applications, delivered in collaboration with specialist solution partners.
Supply Chain Solutions Portfolio
SCT undertakes implementations across demand and supply planning, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transport Management Systems (TMS), Yard Management Systems (YMS), inventory management and visibility, asset tracking, and other supply chain technology solutions.
About the Role
The Project Manager will lead customer implementations of supply chain technology solutions from kickoff and process discovery through testing, go-live and handover. The role bridges client operations, SCT and technology solution partners, ensuring solutions are aligned with business requirements, delivered on schedule and adopted successfully.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage end-to-end supply chain solution implementations, covering scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, deliverables and go-live readiness.
- Act as the main point of contact for client stakeholders across supply chain, warehouse, logistics, planning, IT and senior management.
- Conduct discovery workshops and map current and future processes across planning, warehousing, yard operations, inventory, transport and asset visibility.
- Translate business processes and operational requirements into clear functional specifications, workflows, decisions and action items.
- Coordinate customer teams, SCT stakeholders and external software/technology partners on solution setup, integrations, data readiness and issue resolution.
- Plan and coordinate testing and user acceptance testing (UAT), track defects, validate process outcomes and obtain required business sign-offs.
- Organize end-user training, cutover and go-live activities, post-launch stabilization and structured handover to support teams.
- Maintain project plans, status reports, risks, issues and change logs; communicate progress and escalate critical decisions to clients and SCT leadership.
- Drive stakeholder alignment, implementation quality and successful adoption across concurrent or evolving client engagements.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience managing supply chain software implementations, digital transformation initiatives or operational projects with a systems component.
- Good knowledge of core supply chain processes, such as demand planning, warehousing, inventory, transportation, yard operations and asset management.
- Hands-on experience with one or more supply chain tools, such as planning applications, WMS, TMS, YMS, ERP supply chain modules or tracking systems; expertise in every solution is not required.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with confidence engaging operational teams, vendors and senior client representatives.
- Ability to convert business needs into structured requirements and coordinate effectively with product, configuration and engineering specialists.
- Strong project discipline in planning, UAT, training, reporting, risk management and scope-change control; effective in a remote setting.
- Organized, proactive, adaptable and comfortable managing priorities in a fast-moving, multi-solution environment.
Technical Background
A software engineering background is not required. Practical supply chain process expertise, business analysis, technology implementation experience and effective delivery coordination are the priorities.
Only shortlisted candidates shall be contacted.
