POSITION SUMMARY
The Additive Manufacturing Technician is responsible for setup, operate, clean, and maintain additive machines to ensure efficient operations, prevent contamination and achieve high utilization.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Setup, operate and perform daily as well as preventative maintenance on additive manufacturing machines.
- Strictly adheres to proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Post processing of 3D printed parts. (Hand skills are required while handling exacto knives and scrapers)
- Changing out equipment to different materials and calibration of equipment
- Adhering to the AS9100 standard and complying with internal quality standards
- Proper disposal of hazardous waste
- Ability to accurately read and record information (i. e. material manufacture date, serial number, and other criteria) that is critical to the production process.
- Handling inventory and keeping up with internal MOQ’s for frequently used materials
- Perform housekeeping and cleanup duties upon completion of assigned tasks. Actively participate in housekeeping efforts by maintaining an orderly, clean, and safe work area
- Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other mandatory safety equipment.
- For the most part, ambient temperatures are controlled by climate due to production requirements
- This role regularly operates in a manufacturing environment with exposure to airborne powders and particulates. The ability to work in such conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation, is an essential function of the position
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift) on a manufacturing floor
- Frequent use of hands for handling, sanding, polishing, grinding, and finishing parts
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull materials weighing up to 25–50 pounds, with or without assistance
- Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required to operate finishing tools and equipment
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, gloves, safety glasses, and protective clothing
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may include exposure to dust, fumes, noise, chemicals, and varying temperatures
- Ability to distinguish colors, finishes, and surface defects as needed for quality inspection
- Sufficient vision (with or without correction) to inspect detailed parts and surfaces
- Ability to safely operate finishing equipment such as grinders, sanders, bead blasters, or similar tools
