Description
See yourself in our team
The Organisational Equity & Inclusion Centre of Excellence leads the enterprise approach to equity, inclusion and belonging. We work across the Group to shape the systems, practices and experiences that improve outcomes for our people and support sustainable business performance.
This is a role for someone who thinks about DEI a little differently - less about running programs, and more about shaping the systems that drive lasting change.
While we don't own the processes and systems that shape our people's experience, we play a key role in influencing them. Working closely with the teams who do, you'll use data and deep inclusion expertise to identify where inequity shows up in how the organisation operates, and partner with others to design change that sticks.
As an OD Lead, you'll act as an internal consultant and systems thinker - using evidence to get to the root of complex organisational challenges, working with others to solve them, and measuring whether the change is actually working. You'll bring depth of inclusion knowledge and focus on sustainable, systemic change that improves outcomes at scale.
Your impact and contribution
Diagnose with data and deep expertise
- Use quantitative and qualitative data, alongside deep inclusion expertise, to diagnose where inequity is embedded in organisational systems, processes and practices.
- Identify the root causes behind the data and pinpoint the highest-leverage opportunities for change.
- Test hypotheses with evidence and use insight to reframe problems and challenge assumptions.
Drive systemic, sustainable change
- Design solutions that address root causes rather than symptoms, prioritising sustainable impact over one-off activity.
- Lead large-scale change that shifts how the organisation operates, not just what it delivers.
- Apply contemporary inclusion knowledge and practice to shape solutions that are credible, evidence-based and built to last.
Work as an internal consultant
- Partner with the teams who own our people processes and systems to influence design, decisions and outcomes.
- Bring an independent, evidence-based perspective grounded in deep inclusion expertise.
- Broker solutions across functions, knowing that impact is delivered through others rather than direct ownership.
Measure impact and signal what is working
- Define the measures that show whether change is working, and build the evidence base to track progress over time.
- Use data to signal early whether an approach is having the intended impact - and to course-correct when it is not.
- Demonstrate impact through evidence, sustaining momentum and building confidence with leaders.
Influence through insight and storytelling
- Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and specialist functions across the Group.
- Translate complex data and insights into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with leaders and drive action.
- Navigate complexity, competing priorities and ambiguity with confidence and pragmatism.
Contribute to the DEI Centre of Excellence
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the enterprise DEI strategy.
- Share deep inclusion expertise and diverse perspectives to strengthen the capability of the team.
- Champion a culture of curiosity, collaboration and continuous learning.
We are interested in hearing from people who have
- Deep, contemporary knowledge of inclusion - what drives it, where it breaks down, and what makes change stick in large, complex organisations.
- Demonstrated experience delivering systemic, sustainable change across large, complex organisations.
- A background that may span organisational development, organisational psychology, health, safety & wellbeing, coaching, or large-scale change - applied through an inclusion lens.
- Strong data and diagnostic skills - the ability to use evidence to diagnose problems, measure impact and signal what is working.
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and delivering outcomes through others, without direct ownership of the systems involved.
- The ability to turn data and insight into compelling stories that drive change.
- A collaborative, curious and flexible approach, comfortable with ambiguity and evolving priorities.
Success in this role
- Think in systems - seeing the root causes behind complex problems, not just the symptoms.
- Use data to diagnose, measure and signal whether change is genuinely working.
- Bring deep inclusion expertise and apply it in fresh, practical ways.
- Deliver change through others, influencing without owning.
- Combine sharp analysis with compelling storytelling to shift thinking.
