Work Shift:
Day - 8 Hour (United States of America)Serves as Director to the Chief Financial Officer. As such, is assigned full authority to provide direction to subordinate managers and directors of the Chief Financial Officer. The position will have particular program focus on general accounting, fixed asset accounting, revenue accounting, payroll, treasury services and accounts payable. This position will be responsible for the strategic planning and execution of physician practice accounting. In addition, this position will ensure the timely completion of all internal and external monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting. Will ensure all financial reporting complies with generally accepted accounting standards and organizational policies. Manages relationships with external customers including but not limited to independent auditors, tax preparers, investment consultants, bankers, bond trustee and bond holders. Acts with the full authority of the Chief Financial Officer in his/her absence.Education & Training:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in
Accounting.
Experience:
A combination of five (5) years of any of the following:
• Public accounting experience auditing hospitals / health systems.
• Controller (or similar type position) in a hospital, large multi-physician
practice, or other healthcare related entity.
• Manager or Director of decision support, budget or reimbursement
functions in a hospital / health system.
Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
None.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to build and foster relationships with subsidiary finance teams to drive an
efficient and effective financial forecasting process. Proven executive level presentation skills. Problem solver/fast responder to changing needs and requirements in the field. Strong writing and communications skills. Financial Statement preparation skills. Ability to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously and pay close attention to detail.
