Reporting to the Senior Manager of Data Center Finance, you will act as a key business partner to the Head of FP&A and other executive stakeholders. You will take ownership of the financial planning processes, operational models, and metrics that guide our rapid scaling.

About the role:

The ideal candidate has proven experience directing complex financial and operational planning. You bring exceptional financial modeling capabilities, a deep understanding of data center economics, and the ability to drive the financial direction of the Data Center organization.

  • Data Center OpEx Management: Own the end-to-end financial planning processes for all data center expenses, including leases, power, equipment financing, general operating expenses, and CapEx deployment. Establish cost-control frameworks and performance-tracking mechanisms.
  • Power Strategy & Forecasting: Validate and guide forecasts related to our global power footprint and deployment timing. Serve as the finance lead in partnership with Capacity Planning and Power teams to align financial forecasts with strategic growth timelines.
  • Executive FP&A: Lead the comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual planning cycles for the Data Center Finance organization. Oversee variance analyses and long-range planning, translating data into actionable insights and narratives for Executive Leadership.
  • Financial Reporting: Deliver accurate and timely financial reports and presentations for executive reviews. Ensure strict compliance with financial policies and use reporting to drive proactive decision-making.
  • Strategic Business Partnership: Act as the primary financial partner to the Data Center Operations, Capacity Planning, and Power & Sustainability teams. Propose and drive investment decisions that enhance data center performance and profitability.
  • Cost Optimization: Initiate and champion expense optimization strategies across all recurring and project-based data center expenses, partnering with functional leads to identify and realize savings.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Manage critical finance initiatives that require coordination across departments, including Data Center Operations, Real Estate, and Sales, ensuring financial goals align with broader business objectives.

Who You Are:

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or asset management, with at least 2+ years of management experience or leading critical workstreams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced finance designation (e.g., CFA, CMA, or FPAC) preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in building complex financial models; advanced Excel required. Proficiency with tools like NetSuite or Tableau is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of data center finance topics, including energy market dynamics, leasing structures, and cost optimization strategies, is highly preferred.
  • Ability to thrive and drive clarity in an extremely fast-paced, ambiguous environment. Highly self-sufficient, intellectually curious, and proven ability to learn quickly.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, and act as a thought partner to executive-level stakeholders with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
