Automotive Service Advisor – Yes Auto Fix | Houston, TX

D.I.B. Automotive Group is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join the team at Yes Auto Fix, located at 1515 Bay Area Blvd, Houston, TX.

We are seeking an automotive professional who knows how to take care of customers while keeping a busy repair shop organized and moving. This role requires solid mechanical knowledge, strong sales and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with both customers and technicians throughout the repair process.

This is not an entry-level position. Applicants should have significant experience in automotive service advising, service management, or the automotive repair industry.

Your Role

As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will work directly with customers and technicians to help deliver a professional, efficient service experience from vehicle check-in through completion.

Responsibilities include:

• Welcome customers and determine their automotive repair and maintenance needs
• Review vehicle inspections and discuss recommended services and repairs with customers
• Clearly explain repair needs, pricing, available service options, and expected timelines
• Develop customer trust while confidently presenting necessary maintenance and repair recommendations
• Communicate with technicians and help coordinate vehicles throughout the repair process
• Support daily shop workflow, technician productivity, and vehicle progress
• Document customer communications, repair approvals, recommendations, and completed services accurately
• Keep customers informed about the status and progress of their vehicles
• Follow up after repairs to help ensure customer satisfaction
• Address customer questions, concerns, and escalations in a professional manner
• Help keep the service department clean, organized, and professional
• Assist with coaching and developing other team members as needed
• Maintain knowledge of current automotive repair procedures, technology, and service practices

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of automotive service advising, service management, or related automotive repair experience
• Strong working knowledge of automotive repair and vehicle maintenance
• Previous automotive leadership or management experience
• Strong sales, communication, and customer service abilities
• Ability to explain technical automotive information in a way customers can easily understand
• Ability to prioritize vehicles and effectively manage service department workflow
• Experience with automotive diagnostics and shop management software
• Knowledge of tires, vehicle inspections, preventive maintenance, and general automotive repair
• Professional, dependable, organized, and committed to providing excellent customer service
• Ability to multitask and stay productive in a fast-paced automotive shop
