Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to increase service sales growth for the assigned area by implementing the service sales strategy and generating profitable sales opportunities. You will focus on increasing Installed Base (IB) service use and promoting ABB’s complete service product portfolio, including upgrades, retrofits, and value-added solutions. You will also build long-term customer relationships and identify new market opportunities to support Life Cycle Management (LCM) and sustainable business growth.

The work model for the role is: L#- Onsite.

This role is contributing to ABB Automation – Automation in Energy Industries (AUEN) in India. The main stakeholders include regional Service Sales specialists, Service Managers, customers, and other ABB service units.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Developing and implementing service sales strategies by penetrating the Installed Base (IB), identifying sales opportunities, and promoting upgrades, retrofits, and value-added service solutions.
• Growing service sales volume and profitability by utilizing the approved installed-base database (ServIS), developing opportunities across existing and new installed bases, and promoting ABB’s complete service portfolio.
• Developing new market opportunities and customer relationships by generating service sales leads, understanding customer requirements and market trends, and leveraging ABB's broader portfolio through a One ABB approach.
• Managing the sales process and customer engagement, including proposals, tenders, negotiations, customer feedback, marketing activities, and ensuring customer satisfaction while complying with ABB's health, safety, quality, and integrity requirements.

You will join a collaborative and customer-focused team, where you will work closely with service sales and service management teams to develop solutions and create value for customers.

Qualifications for the role

• You have a B.E./B.Tech degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, or Electrical Engineering from a reputed university.
• You have 12+ years of overall experience, including at least 8 years of experience in the Process Automation domain.
• You have extensive experience in sales of automation solutions in the Oil & Gas industry, with a solid understanding of customer requirements and market dynamics.
• You have relevant knowledge of ABB Control Systems, including 800xA, Freelance, Terminal Automation, Safety Systems, and Oil & Gas SCADA.
• Practical experience with ABB control system platforms and other control systems.
• You have a collaborative, solution-focused approach, with effective written and verbal communication skills, along with a target-oriented mindset.
• You are willing to travel as required by business demands and customer needs, and familiarity and relationships with the client base will be beneficial.
