Technical Facilities Executive

About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Facility Executive to support our Work Dynamics function in delivering exceptional workplace experiences through proactive facility management and technical operations. This role is responsible for ensuring optimal building performance, coordinating maintenance activities, and supporting the implementation of workplace strategies that enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Operations & Maintenance
Oversee day-to-day technical facility operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems. Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes. Coordinate with contractors and service providers for preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Monitor building management systems and respond promptly to technical issues and service requests.
Vendor & Contractor Management
Manage relationships with technical service providers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure quality service delivery. Review and approve work orders, service reports, and contractor invoices. Negotiate service contracts and ensure compliance with agreed service level agreements.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure all facility operations comply with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and corporate policies. Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions to maintain safe working environments. Maintain accurate records of inspections, certifications, permits, and compliance documentation.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Track key performance indicators related to facility operations, energy consumption, and maintenance activities. Prepare regular reports on facility performance, maintenance costs, and operational efficiency. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services, or related technical field
- 3-5 years of experience in facility management or building operations
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety
- Understanding of workplace strategies and trends in hybrid work environments
- Proficiency in building management systems and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to respond effectively to technical emergencies
Desirable
- Professional certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or similar credentials
- Experience working in corporate office environments or commercial real estate
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and green building standards (LEED, BREEAM)
- Project management experience including space planning and workplace fit-outs
- Familiarity with workplace experience platforms and smart building technologies
Skills & Competencies
Strong communication skills with ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Excellent organizational abilities with capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions. Customer-service orientation with focus on enhancing employee experience. Analytical mindset with attention to detail in documentation and reporting. Flexibility to respond to urgent facility issues outside regular business hours when required.
