LOB Description:
The Network Services organization is seeking an experienced Senior Technology Manager to join the Program Governance and Compliance (PGC) team. This people manager role will directly lead a team of network security engineers to deliver a series of functions and services within the Perimeter Security technical domains. The individual in this role will provide leadership across the technical team, define the strategy, planning and oversight for the adequate execution and performance of engineering functions, critical compliance programs and business as usual activities. As a technical leader, will oversee the team in the delivery of compliance programs including but not limited to the firewall rule review and remediation, entitlements, and configuration management programs, security consulting services, engineering support to major incidents and projects. This role will manage the governance, compliance, process development and reporting of these functions and services.
Job Description:
This job is responsible for leading the most complex technical designs that enable business strategies in accordance with architectural governance, standards and policies. Key responsibilities include facilitating deployment of the most complex technical solutions by developing templates, playbooks and automation used during implementation. Job expectations include consistently looking for opportunities to improve the reliability and efficiency of implementing the services, and influencing a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as a consultant on a broad range of technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomes
- Develops software solutions to address manual and repeatable work or inefficient processes and contributes to the technology strategy for end-to-end engineering solutions and provides feedback to the architecture teams
- Translates business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment in compliance with architecture standards and policies
- Participates in various steering committees for technical and infrastructure service domains
- Leads the evaluation of reference models, blueprints and playbooks to ensure they are fit for purpose
- Mentors and guides team members to ensure system design technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards
- Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment and help to resolve organizational impediments/blockers

- A minimum of 10 years of experience required with at least 5 years of people management and/or technical leadership experience.
- Experience in large and complex enterprise network environments. Experience working for the financial industry is a plus.
- Ample technical experience within network, network security, cybersecurity or similar technical domains leading network engineering, operations, or implementation teams.
- General experience with network security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection, threat mitigation, web content filtering, etc.
- Ability to analyze complex processes applying analytical thinking and methodical processes that require in-depth analysis and evaluation of various factors and criteria.
- Proven ability leading large strategic projects and initiatives providing technical direction and expertise and owning various deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate complex technical processes and communicate across different levels of the organization including technical, managerial, business executives, and vendors.
- Excellent oral and written communications. Must be able to communicate at all organizational levels. Strong communication skills to work directly with executive management.
- Good understanding of fundamental networking concepts and protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL, DNS, NTP, DHCP, etc.
- Experience managing network or network security compliance, risk functions and/or audits is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow an existing refined process, while also seeking continual improvements. Assess and advise of solutions to improve processes.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others
- Understanding of ITIL processes such as request management, change management, incident management and problem management.
- CISSP, CCSP, Security+ or similar technical certifications are highly desired.
