Job Description
As a Security Guard Full Time Licensed Unarmed Incident Response Patrol in NEW YORK, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for staff and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. - Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and agency partners by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government service location.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters in accordance with site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed, maintain awareness of visitor activity, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare accurate reports, maintain required logs, and communicate relevant observations, incidents, and shift information to supervisors and site representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
