Description
We are working closely with Royal Holloway, University of London to assist with the appointment of a Human Resources Assistant on a 6-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £15.55- £20.42 per hour
Summary:
The Human Resources Assistant provides efficient and proactive HR administrative and operational support to staff, managers and the wider HR Operations Team. The role provides routine advice across a broad range of HR matters, including recruitment, contractual changes, absence management, probation, end of contracts, leaving arrangements and other employee lifecycle processes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide routine proactive advice and guidance to staff and managers on a range of HR matters, including recruitment, contractual changes, absence, probation and leaving the organisation.
- Process a full range of transactional HR activities accurately and efficiently in accordance with HR policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
- Seek advice and guidance from HR Officers, HR Business Partners and other specialist colleagues on complex or sensitive HR matters.
- Monitor and process probationary periods, ensuring relevant records and documentation are completed within required timescales.
Qualifications:
- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications, including English and Mathematics, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Relevant HR administration or employment-related training is advantageous.
Essentials:
- Previous experience working in a Human Resources, Personnel, HR Administration or Business Support environment.
- Experience of processing employee lifecycle transactions, such as recruitment, contractual changes, probation, absence, end of contracts and leaving arrangements.
- Experience of working with HR and Payroll systems or similar employee management systems.
